Have you ever taken a stroll over a watershed before? When you visit Cascade Meadow you will be able to do just that after you walk through the door.
Cascade Meadow was envisioned more than a decade ago when several local businessmen, conservationists and philanthropists saw the potential to restore native wetlands on a 100-acre site. Their vision evolved to include an education center and the use of the restored wetlands as an outdoor classroom for the community.
The science center had a grand opening this year in June. The complete restoration of the wetlands will take about 3 more years.
A tour and presentation of Cascade Meadow will be led by Lisa Eadens, the executive director.
This is a great opportunity to see the exhibits and learn about Cascade Meadow’s purpose and future plans.
We will also have displays from the continuing interest groups. Join us to learn more about AAUW!
