Our September speaker is Steve Thornton, Executive Director of the Rochester Area Foundation. The Rochester Area Foundation sponsors many great projects including First Homes and First Steps. Rochester Regional Science Fair
Each year AAUW Rochester sponsors 2 awards at the Rochester Regional Science fair for 2 outstanding science projects by girls. The girl in this video did not win the AAUW award but won many other awards.
Check out this little video featuring Kate, a Rochester 9th grader who did an outstanding science fair project about predicting wind energy output, won a CERTS science fair award, and went on to win at two international science fairs! Hope for the future!
